The Pyramid Model 3015, 70 Watt HID Floodlights are among the most advanced 100% WATERPROOF marine lights available today. Pyramid Tech, leaders in HID lighting, has refined the technology found in luxury car headlights and made it practical and affordable for use as marine flood lights.
Our Xenon HID technology generates four times the light per watt of electricity than conventional Halogen floodlights. Input power is slightly less than 6 Amps at 12 Volts DC, yet the light generated is brigher than a 300 Watt Halogen!
Unlike the impractical 25 Amp draw of a 300 Watt Halogen, the Model 3015's low Amp draw makes it practical for use on 12 Volts DC. And, unlike other HID lights, Pyramid puts the HID ballast in the light fixture itself. This makes installation the same as for a conventional light. As there is no filament to burn out, HID bulb life is 20 times greater than that of a Halogen bulb.
